Joseph Razo lives for education. His number one tip for up and coming stylists is to take as many classes as you can and to keep up with continuing education as you progress. That is why he is known for creating amazing red and pink hues as a salon owner at Hair Republic. He figured out he wanted to be in the hair business at 17. He saw a friend enroll in beauty school and thought, “If he can do it, I can do it.”

Razo started out as an intern with Frederic Fekkai in Beverly Hills, and it took him four years before he got the chance to be behind the chair. Talk about dedication! He says that it was challenging and insightful, and definitely well worth it.

“Doing hair and being in the beauty industry has allowed me to have freedom in my life with creativity. I love the beauty industry for its flexible schedule.”
